Oil pastel painting of my still life arrangement. It is on card treated with a gesso and pumice ground. Only a4 size mount so quite small for an oil pastel as the sennelier sticks are quite soft and thick. I used a variety of blending techniques and scraping back to neaten edges.

My 'castle in the air' I built a tiny credit-card size layered-paper picture then took a print. Its Corfe Castle as it looked in 1643 when the brave Lady Corfe was defending it on behalf of Charles 1st. It was ruined after she was forced to hand over the keys. Its a lovely place to visit and a very interesting castle.
20 minute painting number 1 .. a loosening up exercise.

Corfe Castle painted in acrylics using knives, fingers and brushwork for detail.

Hyperrealism is so cool but takes ages
Heres a watercolour of a teacup from my moms wedding present tea sevice.

I have been taking some photos of still lifes and intend to include this in a bigger display.
